2017 Class Project

A Giant Chess Board at the Germantown Community Library

The Class of 2017 wanted to find a way to get families engaged outdoors and gifted the City with a giant community chess board. After researching various locations around Germantown, the class came to an agreement with Germantown Community Library to place the chess board at its entrance.

Not only is there a life-size chess board available, but smaller table top sets are also available for check out from the library to enjoy on the patio surrounding the larger board. The class raised $3,500 and held the ribbon cutting June 25, 2017.
